We have found naltrexone in both pill and injectable (long-acting) forms to be very helpful in decreasing cravings and compulsive behaviors related to the internet and gambling. Selective Serotonin Reuptake Inhibitors (SSRI's) and mood stabilizers can also be used, depending on the case. There are several other medications and supplements we have found to be effective as well.
In addition, there are often underlying or associated medical and/or psychiatric conditions that need to be diagnosed and treated, such as depression, chronic fatigue, endocrine conditions and attention deficit disorder (ADD).
