Pain Management

If you live in the Atlanta area, suffer from pain and are regularly taking medications such as Percocet or methadone, you may benefit from our special, highly effective approach to pain management.

WellStep Atlanta utilizes a multifaceted approach to pain management. Where appropriate, Subxone (buprenorphine), a once-a-day potent medication for pain, can often successfully be used in place of narcotic medications such as methadone, hydrocodone (Lortab, Norco, Vicodin), hydromorphone (Dilaudid), oxycodone (Percocet, Oxycontin), fentanyl and morphine.

Many patients are pleasantly surprised how their pain is significantly relieved with Suboxone as opposed to needing to take large amounts of highly addictive narcotic pills such as methadone or Percocet which may lose effectiveness over time.

Other non-narcotic medications that can reduce the overall sensation of pain and that work specifically on nerve sensitivity pain can be used as well. At our pain management center, we consult with orthopedists, anesthesiologists and physical medicine specialists if injections or special procedures may help. Physical therapy may be prescribed as well. Counseling is available to help to reduce the stress and to improve pain coping skills if needed.

Our goal at WellStep Atlanta's pain management center is to help you achieve better control of your pain while maintaining a high quality of life.
