Medical Director
Mark S. Banov, MD, MPH is Medical Director of WellStep.
Dr. Banov studied addiction medicine at the Harvard University School of Public Health, where he graduated with a Master of Public Health degree. He graduated from Johns Hopkins University and received his medical degree from the Medical University of South Carolina.
Dr. Banov is a certified AAMRO Medical Review Officer for federal drug testing programs. He is a Diplomate of the American Board of Preventive Medicine and is a fellow of the American College of Preventive Medicine. He is on the medical staff at Gwinnett Hospital System.
Therapists
Dr. Joseph Kirkpatrick holds a PhD in counseling from the University of Georgia. He is a licensed professional counselor and advanced clinical hypno-havioral therapist who treats adults, adolescents, families and couples. He has a special interest and expertise in substance abuse and addiction management.
Susan Rosovsky is a Licensed Professional Counselor and Certified Alcohol and Drug Counselor. She is also certified as a Tobacco Cessation Specialist.
She is a native Atlantan with diverse experience working with adults and adolescents in various school settings (private, special needs, college), mental health hospitals, private practice, prisons and community mental health.
Brad Hieger, PhD
Dr. Hieger has extensively practiced brief therapy and is accustomed to seeing significant, noticeable changes in his clients” lives in short periods of time. In addition to his professional practice at Focus Forward Counseling and Consulting, Inc., Dr. Hieger currently teaches graduate coursework at Argosy University and undergraduate courses at Kennesaw State University.
Dr. Hieger earned his M.A. at Ball State University with a double major in Counseling and Social Psychology and his Ph.D. in Counseling Psychology at The Pennsylvania State University. Karen Ryan, M.S., L.P.C
Ms. Ryan has been providing substance abuse treatment in the Atlanta area for over 20 years. She received a Master of Science degree in Counseling from Georgia State University in 1986. She served as Program Coordinator for the Partial Hospitalization Recovery Program at Brawner Psychiatric Institute and co-leads the Evening Intensive Outpatient Program at Peachford Hospital.
Sam Gloyd, M.S., L.P.C.
Mr. Gloyd has been treating adults with alcohol and substance abuse problems for 20 years. He received a Master of Science degree in Counseling from Georgia State University. He has established and directed outpatient programs in some of the major treatment centers in Atlanta throughout his career.
